The Low Down

Imagine just for a moment you are placed back in time. A time in our American history that is often overlooked—the Dust Bowl. This history is rich with vibrant life as well as colored with the struggles that humanity experienced depending on their geography, class and national economic circumstances. Dust is the inspirational collaboration of Wonderbound and Curious Theatre as an examination of “how poverty and displacement can profoundly affect the human condition.”

This production will seamlessly blend dance, theater and music; erasing boundaries across artistic genres to create a unique performance experience.
— Wonderbound.

Wonderbound is known for their dazzling blend of dance, music and theater and the collaboration with Curious Theatre on this performance is one not to be missed. The Dust Bowl history is one that is difficult as most science was dismissed during those years in favor of misunderstandings based on superstitious beliefs.

The world premiere’s original script was written by Curious Theatre Company’s Dee Covington and the score composed by Jesse Manely and his band and choreographed by Wonderbound Artistic Director Garrett Ammon.

There are six incredible performances and locations to choose from
